If you need a table saw that can provide power, consistency and precise cuts each and every time, then this table saw by Rockwell might be for you. This saw comes with a laser. That’s right, a laser. The laser will adjust the blade’s tilt, allowing for a more precise cut, which means even the amateur can look like a pro. Best described as a hardworking, sturdy and powerful, this model has a lot to offer and can be used by the amateur and the pro.
Now, let’s check out what this model has in store for us and where it stands out the most. If you want to see other models, head over to my guide on some of the best portable table saws. Now, let’s jump into this review!
Performance and Standout Features
The Rockwell table saw features a ten inch blade with a large work surface of thirty inches on one side of the blade and eleven inches on the other. The 4800RPM and fifteen AMPS provide enough power for any job around the home. The model’s legs can be folded and it also features built-in wheels, making it a piece of cake to transport.
When it arrives in the mail, all you’ll need to do is pop it out of the box, unfold and lock the legs and it’s ready to go. We loved the built-in compartments for storing the included tools, blades and attachments. So, no more worries about misplacing parts. Let’s take a look at the set up closer now…
Out of the box, setting up the saw blades is pretty easy, but the fence doesn’t quite match up. This issue is an easy fix. All the tools you’ll need to make an adjustment come included in the package. To work the laser, simply put in the batteries and flip the switch. It’s that easy. Another great feature is the model’s dust bag. While the undercarriage dust bag isn’t able to trap one-hundred percent of the sawdust, it’s definitely satisfactory. The saw’s frame includes roller wheels and you can extend one of the folding legs to act as a pull handle, making this a very portable saw.

Construction Quality & Capacity
In terms of construction quality this saw doesn’t really stand out of its competition but is durable enough for the purpose. It is marketed as a workshop saw that can be used on a regular basis, but I feel like it falls more into the weekend-project category.
It has a vast cutting capacity thanks to its fold out fencing structure which sure helps on projects that require larger wood surfaces being cut.
When it comes to the price of this model, I cannot ignore it. It is a little heavy on the price tag and that takes a lot of the appeal especially if you are a beginner and are looking for something a little more budget-friendly that will do its job on the occasional DIY projects you embark on. On top of that, there are other brands that offer similar (if not better) quality saws for less money, so it really made no sense for Rockwell to price their product so high.
If you want a table saw from a more reputable brand that is far more heavy-duty and can withstand daily workloads, check out my Bosch 4100-09 Worksite portable table saw review! Let’s see some of the most important pros and cons of this model now.
Advantages & Disasdvantages
- Fairly durable
- Makes precise cuts if aligned properly
- Powerful motor
- Construction is sturdy
- Has a collection bag at the bottom
- Doesn’t require constant maintenance
- Has a fold-out fence that allows for wider cuts
- When it comes to the cons for this saw, the blade alignment will be off a little if you don’t make any adjustments and this can lead to burned cuts and sticking. Some of the model’s parts are non-adjustable, such as the laser.
- If the saw is assembled incorrectly there will be no way for you to reposition the laser.
- According to some buyers, the customer service department was unresponsive.
- This table saw is a little expensive

Conclusion and Rating
Consumers felt that the large work area was a huge pro. The large panels mean that it will be less likely to teeter and ruin a cut. The wheels make it easy to cart around and the model’s adjustability and depth allows for the saw to easily make most cuts.
Overall, this is a great model that offers a reasonable price point and a ton of extra features. We loved that it’s sturdy enough for tough projects and packing it up only takes a few minutes. Consumers gave this model five out of five stars for the ease of use and portability, pricing and of course, the laser. As a whole, I gave this model a rating of four and a half out of five stars.
